General Activities Information

Who to call?

If you have trouble contacting any of the individual Activity Coordinators or you can't get the information you require, you should speak to the Regional Commissioner Activities, Rohan Reynolds (details at left) or call the Region office.

Recognition of Prior Learning & Recognition of Current Competencies

The purpose of Recognition of Prior Learning and Recognition of Current Competencies (RPL/RCC) is to recognise your existing skills in an activity area. If you feel that you should be exempted from the requirement of a course due to prior learning, or existing skills, please ask about RPL/RCC. All you have to do is demonstrate that you have learned, acquired, or mastered the skill for which you are seeking recognition.

Your evidence must show that you have current knowledge and skills in the activity. For example, if you obtained your Abseil Instructor’s qualification ten years ago, you would need to establish that you have continued to participate and instruct on abseiling trips since that date.

Join the Team!

All the Activity Teams welcome new members from all sections of Scouting. So, if you want to supplement your Scouting commitments with an interest for one or more of the activities, then become a member of one of the teams. An interest in the activity is all you need to get involved. Just speak to the coordinator of the Activity Team you're interested in joining, or the Regional Commissioner Activities.

Region Activity Committees Calendar

Region Activity Committees are responsible for coordinating each Activity area within Sydney North Region. There are RACs for Alpine Downhill and Alpine Cross Country, PEAK Bushwalking, First Aid, Flying Fox, Radio, Rockcraft, and Water Activities.
There are no more courses or events in 2019 and dates for 2020 have not yet been announced.
