DRAGON SKIN 2026
Dragon Skin is a very popular annual event for Venturer Scouts (ages 14-17), held over the Easter long weekend. Easter has characteristically been wet and cold, but this year's Dragon Skin saw little rain and some brilliant sunny days!
Close to 800 Venturer Scouts in around 150 teams from across NSW and beyond hiked through Belanglo State Forest just south of Sydney, navigating to a range of activity challenges to earn points. The activity bases test initiative, teamwork, creativity, and other skills, and are designed and staffed by Rover Scouts (aged 18-25), who also provide overnight campsites, working together with Leaders and other supporters.
Venturer Units from Sydney North Region featured strongly, with 43 teams taking part, and seven of them among the top 20 place-getters.

Our Region's annual Sirius Cup Regatta was held on March 20-22, and saw around 800 participants from over 40 Scout Groups take part, with most camping at Balmoral Oval. It was an activity-packed weekend with canoe, sailing, and rowing races for all agegroups.
